Old Boys Rugby
Brothers Rugby Club Sydney (BRCS) represents the Old Boys of ºÚÁÏÉç. Founded in 1947 as Christian Brothers Old Boys (CBOB), the club has a proud history in Sydney suburban rugby.
In 2005, the club rebranded to BRCS to align with the wider Christian Brothers rugby network across Australia, including strong links with Queensland and Western Australia. Today, BRCS is also part of the international Marist Rugby Federation, connecting over 30 clubs across New Zealand, Fiji, Tonga, and Samoa.
This affiliation provides opportunities for players to represent the Marist U23s on international tours. Notably, SPX Old Boys Daniel Rohanna (’05) and Adam Ennis (’05) were the first from the College selected in 2008, contributing to an undefeated tour.
BRCS currently fields five senior grades and a Colts (U21) team in the Sydney Suburban Rugby Competition. The club has enjoyed significant success, including multiple First Grade premierships and Club Championships between 2011–2014.
While competitive, Brothers prides itself on being a social and inclusive club. Players of all skill levels are welcome, with a strong focus on participation, camaraderie, and enjoyment of the game.
Recent school leavers are especially encouraged to join the Colts program and continue their rugby journey with the SPX Old Boys community.
